THE VIMY FOUNDATION: VIMY 100

The Vimy Foundation

Spirit of Remembrance was very proud to be appointed as the Official Adult Tour Operator for the Vimy Foundation. In 2017 the Vimy Foundation marked the centennial anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, a milestone in Canada's rich history, where Canada came of age and was then recognized on the world stage.

Probably the most recognizable battle monument in the world, the magnificent Canadian War Memorial at Vimy Ridge. An all Canadian assault on the *9th April 1917 (*Vimy Ridge Day) took this impregnable fortress. (This date (9 April) known as 'Vimy Ridge Day' - is equivalent to all Canadians as 'Anzac Day' is to all Australians).

Vimy is a breathtaking and truly inspirational memorial and sits on top of Vimy Ridge - and is Canadian 'Holy Ground'Spirit took over 600 Canadians here on 9 April 2017 for the 100 year centenary of Vimy - attended by OVER 25,000 Canadians
